The New Straits Times: Jewish activist calls for sanctions on Israel
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 5/31/2005
Jewish anti-Zionist activist Uri Davis called the United Nations to impose sanctions on Israel for its human rights violations against the Palestinian people.
Davis was quoted Monday by the Malaysian newspaper of The New Straits Times as saying in a meeting to commemorate victims of Deir Yassin massacre committed by Israel that Israel bans trade exchange with the Palestinians, thereby it violates the international laws and the 1948 Human Rights Declaration.
The meeting was sponsored by the Malaysian Institute for Social Researches with the cooperation of the Islamic Care Society to pay homage to the victims of Deir Yassin carnage in which more than 100 Palestinians were slaughtered.
