Egyptian Syrian ties deeply-rooted

Egypt's Ambassador to Syria Hazem Khairat hailed yesterday the Egyptian-Syrian ties as "deeply-rooted." Khairat said Syria and Egypt are acting in unison on the region's pressing issues.
Khairat said economic cooperation between both states has come a long way with the trade volume standing now at $180 million. He said Syria exports wheat to Egypt at a competitive market price.
