Lebanese president meets with FM of Iran

Lebanese President Emil Lahoud emphasized Thursday the necessity to develop the Iranian-Lebanese ties and activating them in various fields praising the continued support of Iran to Lebanon.

Meeting Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, Lahoud said the Lebanese unity is capable of facing conditions mainly Israel is carrying in its aggressive policy making use of current circumstances to achieve its goals that do not serve security and stability in the region and the world.

"The Lebanese, despite of political consideration separating them, stick to their right to restore occupied Shabaa farms and the return of detainees and Lebanese captives at the Israeli jails," Lahoud said.

He underlined Lebanese right to defend resistance and its weapon directed against Israel, noting that the state, army and resistance have accomplished the liberation of Lebanon.

Kharrazi for his part, underlined Iran's standing by Lebanon at current condition to defend sovereignty and independence as well prevent any foreign interference in its interior affaires.
