New security plan to protect Baghdad

The Iraqi government announced a new security plan that aims at putting an end to the acts of violence in the capital Baghdad.
Some 40,000 Iraqi soldiers and policemen will be taking part in this operation. The Iraqi minister of defense Sadoun al-Duleimi said in a press conference on Thursday that operation will provide for dividing al-Rasafah area to the east of Baghdad into 15 sectors, al-Karakh area ( to the west) to 15 sectors also and installing some 645 permanent check points together with other moving ones.
The minister explained that the aim of this plans is to move from "defending to attacking."
