Lebanon, Politics, 5/26/2005
Lebanese Hizbullah Party Secretary General, Hassan Nassrallh, stressed the distinguished relation between Syria and Lebanon, as well as Syria's pan-Arab role in support of the resistance for the liberation of south Lebanon from the Israeli occupation.
In his address at a mass rally organized in Bent Jbeil Nassrallah expressed gratitude for Syrian people, government and armed forces which supported the resistance in its battle of liberation from Israeli occupation.
He added that Syria withstood a lot for protecting the resistance and sacrificed martyrs for the making of this victory.
He indicated that Lebanon has entered now into the circle of American and French foreign intervention by the embassies in Lebanon. He pointed out that the aims of this intervention is to disarm the resistance, and may be creating sedition and strife among the Lebanese people.
He added that the arms of the resistance are for defensive purposes and meant to defend Lebanon against the Israeli attacks and violations.
