Egyptian mediation efforts between the Palestinians

A delegation representing the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) met once again with the Egyptian security delegation in Gaza to deal with the issue of repeating partial elections in certain circles where Hamas had won the elections.

The leading figure in Hamas movement Mahmoud al-Zahhar said that the Egyptian delegation have not proposed solutions for this issue during the earlier meeting which lasted for five hours, with the aim to contain the situations between Hamas and the Fatah movement. A situation which was intensified following the recent municipal elections.

Commenting on the meeting, al-Zahhar said that his movement showed to the Egyptian delegation by necessary documents which prove the credibility of his movement's position. He renewed Hamas's care to maintain national unity and eliminate differences.

Meantime, the Israeli army detained one Palestinian youth ( 14 year old) having a belt of explosives at a barrier near Hawara village near Nablus in the West Bank.
