Miqati: Liberation proved unity of Lebanese

Lebanese Premier Najib Miqati on Tuesday said the liberation of the greatest part of south Lebanon from the Israeli occupation had confirmed the unity of Lebanese people and boosted their national and pan-Arab options.
"The liberation has proved to the world that the people who adhere to legitimate rights and fight to regain them deserve to live in dignity .. this victory will remain a brilliant point throughout history," Miqati added during a supper banquet held on the occasion of holding an Arab conference on finance and markets.
He showed commitment to hold fair and transparent parliamentary elections all over Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Foreign Minister Mahmoud Hammoud discussed with the Iranian Ambassador in Beirut Masoud Idresi the latest regional and international developments.
"Iran supports Lebanon and backs all measures taken by it to defend rights and sovereignty," the ambassador said following the meeting, adding that Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi will visit Lebanon next Thursday to hold talks on relations and the latest developments.
