Morocco takes part in 'Neotapon-05' manoeuvres off Spanish coasts

The Moroccan royal marine will take part from May 30 to June 10 in military manoeuvres organized by the Spanish marine Armada christened "Neotapon-05."
In addition to Morocco and Spain, eleven countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will participate in the manoeuvres due to take place in Gibraltar, Gulf of Cadiz, Alboran sea and in the regions of Almeria and Cadiz.
Some 10,000 soldiers and 47 warships will take part in the manoeuvres with the participation of the maritime section of the NATO Reaction Force (NRF), the European maritime force (Euromarfor) and the European Amphibious Initiative.
Morocco participated in June 2004 in "Neotapon-04" that took place in the same region with the participation of 12,000 soldiers and 41 warships.
