preparations done for the referendum

Egypt ministries and the state bodies have taken all preparations necessary for the referendum on the amendment of the Article No. 76 of the Constitution on the election of the President of the Republic.
Some 13268 men of law and public prosecution will supervise election committees.
Interior Minister Habib al-Adly, at a meeting with the ministry's leaderships, said any breach of law or legitimacy would be decisively faced.
The Minister of Interior said security policies should conform to reform steps witnessed by Egypt.
He said there are no restrictions on the freedom of expression so long as there is no violation of law.
The Minister of Interior said all police services are committed to the principles of legitimacy and the rule of law.
He said policemen must deal with citizens in a civilized manner. The Minister of Interior urged all citizens to cast their votes in the referendum.
Meantime, the administrative court will today make its verdict on the context lodged by the grouping party on fixing May 25 a date for the referendum on the amendment of Article No. 76 of the Constitution.
