Al-Sader delegates for the Muslim Scholars Commission, Zeibari meets with Bin Aleazer
Iraq, Politics, 5/23/2005

In an attempt to contain the tension between the two Iraqi Sunni and Shiite sects, the Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sader dispatched representatives to meet members of the Muslim Scholars Commission at the commission's headquarters in Um al-Qura mosque in Baghdad.

Al-Sader expressed his readiness to mediate between the Muslim Scholars Commission and Bader organization which affiliates to the Higher Council For The Islamic Revolution to end the tension. He called on his followers to avoid following behind what might lead to sectarian violence.

Meantime, the Iraqi foreign minister Hoshiar Zeibari denied that in a statement to al-Jazeera TV that the shaking hand with the Israeli infrastructure minister Bin Aleazer on the sideline of their participation at the World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea, is an introduction for the normalization of relations between Iraq and Israel.

Bin Aleazer, who was an Iraqi born, greeted the minister Zeibari in the Iraqi accent, and the Iraqi minister replied the greetings in a hall at the Dead Sea resort in Jordan before they had departed.
