Morocco to host 2005 kick and Thai Boxing World championship

Morocco will host the 15th kick and Thai Boxing World championship slated for September 19-25 in Agadir (South), announced, here Thursday, President of World Association of Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO), Italian Ennio Falsoni,

Speaking at a press conference, he said "I'm convinced the kingdom will make of this edition an exceptional event" thanks to its experience in organising great international events.

Kickboxing World championship will take place for the first time in an Arab and African country thanks to the development of kickboxing in the kingdom, said Falsoni.

For his part, president of Moroccan kickboxing Federation, Abdelkrim El Hilali noted that a record of 600 athletes from 40 countries will take part in this edition.

He said Moroccan champions "have greatly represented their country and the Arab and African world in various international events" and have won 193 tiles since 1989.
