Kharazi visit to Iraq gives a promise of establishing cordial relations

Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on Friday described results of his visit to Iraq as "positive and give a promise of establishing cordial relations between Iran and Iraq."

In a statement following his return to Iraq, Kharazi said that he held talks with Iraqi officials pertaining to opening consulates, improving level of the relations, exchanging visits on the level of ministers as well holding meeting of the higher committee that includes Iraq's premier and First Vice-President of Iran to discuss a number of issues of mutual concern.

"It is important, in the current circumstances to ensure security in Iraq," Kharazi added.
