Visiting US Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Peter Rodman, hailed in Rabat, Thursday, the "excellence of the historical relations" between Morocco and the United States.

Rodman was speaking at the closing session of the periodical meeting of the Moroccan-US joint commission of defense, which he co-chaired with Abderrahmane Sbai, Minister in charge of the Administration of National Defense. The American official, who had arrived on Tuesday for a three-day visit, said this meeting allowed for "laying the foundations of a sustainable cooperation."
