Continued killing and detentions in Iraq

"Al-Jihad Qaida organization in Mesopotamia" claimed responsibility for the assassination operation of Ibrahim Hammas, the investigator at the Iraqi ministry of the interior, in an attack by machine guns in front of his house in al-Zafaraneyah to the south of Baghdad.

In al-Azameyah in Baghdad, unidentified gunmen assassinated the director of the office of the minister of youths and sports.

In Beiji, two police men were killed in a booby trapped car explosions targeted a procession for the American army and the police to the west of the city.

In Baqouba, Iraqi police sources and other medical one said that 18 Iraqis including 14 policemen were injured in a bobby trapped car explosion in front of the directorate of education.

In Falluja, medical sources said that one Iraqi was killed and other three injured including two women in a bomb explosions in the downtown of the city. Witnesses said that the explosions targeted a procession for the Iraqi army and resulted in material damages in one of the cars.

In Amereyat al-Falluja, the police found seven bodies for Iraqis working in protecting supplies trucks. The pictures show that the killed persons were hand tightened when bullets were fired at them.

In Samera, the American forces detained six police members including one Major after breaking in the civil defense department. The American forces broke into the house of the city's chief and confiscated personal computer.
