Allawi hails Syria's measures to control borders with Iraq

Syria took all possible measures to control its joint borders with Iraq, Iraq's former prime minister said on Wednesday. "Both Syrian and Iraqi governments are working seriously to enhance the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields in a way that meets their joint interests," Premier Iyad Allawi said in a statement.
Allawi pointed out that the two states are going to implement what had been agreed on in order to protect their joint borders from any informal crossing operation.
