Syrian poet in French Eyes
Syria, People, 5/19/2005
French authors compared Wednesday between Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani and Charles Baudelaire of France particularly in his work "Flowers of Evil."
Due to the Qabbani's poetic fluency, the French authors asked to translate his work and collections of poems.
That was during a lecture about Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani tilted as "Woman's Image in the poetic space of Nizar Qabbani" and organized by Syrian Culture Center in Paris.
Qabbani, Syria's famous poet who had worked in policy for a long time, was celebrated as the poet of woman for his continuous great appreciation of woman through out his poems which occupy a marvelous interest all over the Arab states.
