Aoun considers Lebanese elections a reflection to international agenda
Lebanon, Politics, 5/19/2005

Michael Aoun, one of the main leaders of the Lebanese opposition against Syria, considered that the Lebanese elections due on May 29th is unfair and come to meet an international agenda.

Aoun who had recently arrived from his exile in France strongly criticized those who claim they represent the opposition over their consent to make the elections amid such conditions in response to what he called international agenda, considering that that the priority is for just elections, rather then its timing.

Worthy mentioning that the Aoun's trend was not represented in the lists of al-Hariri in Beirut which included one representative for the Christian opposition "Qurnet Shahwan meeting" which is under the patron of the Maronite Patriarch Nasrullah Sfeir.
