Seven gunmen killed in Algeria

The Algerian dailies issued on Tuesday said that the security forces killed seven gunmen on Monday in Khanshala province ( 540 Km to the east of the capital ) and al-Medya ( 80 Km to its south.)

In Khanshala, the security forces killed four gunmen in a mopping up operations in retaliation to an ambush installed by gunmen on Sunday in this province and resulted in killing 12 military men. The papers attributed that ambush to the al-Salafeyah group for call and fighting.

The Algerian dailies said that the security forces killed three gunmen in clashes near al- Medya province.
