11 soldiers killed in ambush in east of Algeria
The Algerain dailies said that 11 Algerian soldiers were killed in an ambush installed by what they believed to be members of "al-Salafeyah group for fighting and the call" presumed to have links to al-Qaida organization near Khanshala city, 540 km to the east of the capital Algiers.

14 immigrants drown off the Libyan shores
The Libyan ministry of the interior announced that at least 14 immigrants who were trying to reach the Italian coasts drowned and three went missing after water covered their boat off the Libyan shores.
