International Women in Business Forum

Founder of Businesswomen Assembly in Britain, Sulaiman Ahmad, said holding the International Women in Business Forum in Damascus 20-22 May reflects the development and dynamism of the Syrian businesswomen's role.
In a press conference, Sulaiman pointed out to the Syrian government's support to this event in all aspects, adding that the forum is to include a market displaying various products of the establishments participating in the event.
For her part, Chairwoman of Mawred Establishment, Reem Khaddam, said "the Forum will be an opportunity to highlight the Syrian businesswomen's development," pointing out that about 200 participants representing 27 states are to take part in the Forum.
Ms. Khaddam reviewed topics of the forum to be discussed through workshops, pointing out that they shed lights on training human resources, community development, administration of world projects and commercial relations, health care, modern technology.
Chairman of the International Aligo Establishment, Antony Bailey, said "the forum constitutes a real opportunity to witness the reform process in Syria on all levels," pointing out that participants are eager to be acquainted with those reforms. He added that a number of British politicians are to take part in the forum, a matter that confirms the British and international circles' interest in this event that will be covered by British and world media.
Member of the Syrian-British Association Kholoud Halabi underscored that the forum will create a kind of intellectual, social and economic rapprochement between Syria and Britain in particular and Syria and the world in general.
