Lebanese deputies and relations with Syria
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 5/17/2005

Lebanese Deputy Mohammad Fnaish said Monday his country can't do without Syria and can never achieve stability except within good relations with Damascus.

In a statement, Fnaish reiterated commitment to the Taif Accord and the national principles. Ali Hasan al-Khalil, for his part, underlined commitment to resistance in facing Israeli aggressions. In a tour in south Lebanon through which he was acquainted with the damages caused by the latest Israeli attack, al-Khalil stressed support to resistance as best means to face Israeli practices.
