Lebanese officials stress national unity

Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri on Sunday urged the Lebanese people to boost national unity and preserve the pan-Arab stances. Speaker Berri, in a statement, stressed that Lebanon will not be a place for any new Israeli plots, adding that Lebanese parliament and government will not be a tool to pass any Israeli conspiracies.
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Abdulamir Kabalan, called for boosting national unity to face all projects that target Lebanon's unity and sovereignty.
