Junblat alliance with Jaajaa

The leader of the Lebanese progressive socialist party Walid Junblat announced a political and election alliance with the trend of the Lebanese forces which is led by Samir Jaajaa who is spending life imprisonment sentence.

Junblat said in a press conference with Jaajaa wife that the objective of this alliance is to confirm inter-Lebanese national reconciliation, showing readiness to make contacts with all political blocs to form a joint election list with the aim to remove the tension taking place on the Lebanese political arena in the current phase.

The Druz leader expressed his regret over the strong attack launched against him by the leader of the national trend Michael Aoun in which he accused him of flip-flopping on his political stances. He also expressed his ambition to form a house of senate in Lebanon during which political sectarianism is abrogated and a secular community is formed.

Replying to a question on saying that the situation in Lebanon is similar to Tsunami, Junblat said he did not intend from that a negative meaning, rather the Tsunami of amity and prosperity for all Lebanese people.
