First international gas conference calls for more Arab cooperation

First International Gas Conference in Homs recently recommended to increase cooperation between industry and research centers and universities.
The conference also recommended to establish applied researches which aim at solving industry's problems and forming a data base that meets level of the Arab world and benefits it as for gas natural sources as well as establishing a network among Arab and friendly countries for more cooperation and coordination.
It called for directing gas investments in chemical and petrochemical industries as well as using remote sensing technologies in operations of petrol drilling.
"This conference constitutes an important scientific phenomenon for oil and its uses in different kinds of industry and energy," Deputy Rector of al-Baath University for administrative affairs Bassam Ibrahim told SANA.
The international conference which included 50 scientific research papers from different Arab and foreign countries ended its activities yesterday.
