Libya launches mines clearance campaign

Libya "is still suffering from these mines and the remains of World War Two raged on the Libyan soil, and mines planted during the wars and show downs witnessed by the region. In this respect, Saif al Islam Muammar al Gathafi announced the launching of a national campaign to sweep and clear large part of Great Jamahiriya land from mines," JANA reported yesterday.
