Moroccan dunes to stage Desert Music Festival

Rissani-Erfoud region(South) will be the set of the second Desert Music Festival slated for May 26-29.

Moroccan desert, formerly merchants caravans venue, will regain a page of history as musicians from Niger, Mali, Algeria, Senegal, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Morocco will hit the track to discover the Sahara magic.

The Sahara eternal silence will turn into a symphony as Morocco's musical bands such as Lhamri, Dabdo and El Meskaoui interact with Alla band from Algeria, Mahamane Barka and Etran Finatawa from Niger, Adaman Yaloma from Mali, African ballets form Senegal, RUM from Jordan and Mint Ely Warakane from Mauritania.

Desert dunes will vibrate on Moroccan dances of El Khamlia, Guedra and Dabdo that portrait the desert life in sheer symbiosis with the elements. The Saudi Arabia's Arda de Najd and Niger's Bororo dances give homage to desert, cradle of humanity.
