Official: freedom of prints protected in Syria

Director of Foreign Media Department at the Ministry of Information Nizar Mayhoob said Wednesday that "freedom of prints and publications is protected in Syria according to the press law, and it is not set to any sponsorship authority."
"The measure taken by the competent directorate at the ministry to ban the publishing of the last issue of the economic magazine of "al-Mal" ( Finance ) was due to the magazine publishing of articles that contradict the press law, particularly article 51," Mayhoob told SANA.
