Lahoud vows for transparent, honest elections

The Lebanese President Emil Lahoud made his assurance on Tuesday for the international community over the transparency of the elections on May 29th.
A statement issued by the Lebanese republican palace said that Lahoud confirmed before the secretary of the Italian foreign affairs ministry Alfredo Mantika who presides over the UN delegation to verify the Lebanese elections that these elections will be free, fair and transparent. The statement indicated that the government will prove neutrality towards these elections.
