More demonstrations, acts of detentions in Egypt
Egypt, Politics, 5/11/2005
An Egyptian security source said that the security authorities arrested 79 persons in Asyout city over links to the banned Muslim Brothers group and the others gathering without a permit.
The acts of detentions were carried out before and after a demonstration in the downtown of Asyout by more than 4000 persons demanding reforms. This demonstration is considered the most recent in the series of acts of protest demanding more political freedom in Egypt.
