Iraqi president describes Syria-Iraq relation as strategic

President Jalal al-Talbani of Iraq on Tuesday described as "strategic in all domains" the relation between Syria and Iraq. "Syria is, for me, my first country, not the second," Talbani said during a meeting with Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed al-Moalem, stressing the important role of Syria in supporting Iraq.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Arab-Latin America Summit meetings in the Brazilian capital of Brasilia.
