Continued operations in al-Qaem, booby trapped car kill seven Iraqis

News reports said that unidentified gunmen kidnapped the governor of al-Anbar situated to the west of Baghdad which has been witnessing continued military operations since the end of Falluja operations in 2004.
The kidnapping of Raja' Nawaf came with the continued military operations launched by the American Marines to chase gunmen and foreign elements in al-Qaem area of al-Anbar governorate.
The director of al-Qaem hospital Hamdi Allousi said that the situation in the city is very bad, noting in a telephone call with al-Jazeera TV that the city was converted to a place of ghosts and that citizens are scared of the fact that the American forces are bombarding sites alleged to be for foreign fighters fortifying in the city.
Near Falluja to the west of Baghdad, the American army announced the death of one marine in a bomb explosion during a military operation there. Three American soldiers were killed during the two past days in the continued battles to the west of Baghdad.
In Baghdad, the Muslim Scholars Commission deplored the American military moves in the western parts of Iraq. The commission warmed in a statement against the brutal and unjustified aggressions against al-Qaem, al-Rummaneh, and al-Karabelh areas in the west of the country.
