Scores killed in Iraq

At a time when the Iraqi government was taking its constitutional oath, Baghdad has been witnessing many booby trapped cars that resulted in killing three Iraqi security men and injuring other persons after one suicider targeted in his booby trapped car a monitoring point in al-Sedeyah quarters to the south of Baghdad and the killing of other seven, two of them are policemen and a head of oil guarding force, according to medical and security sources.

For its part, the American forces said it killed some 75 gunmen in the last 24 hours in al-Qaem city at the Syrian borders.

However, the director of al-Qaem hospital Hamdi al-Alousi said in a statement to al-Jazeera TV that most of the victims, who toll scores are civilians and that the American bombardment targeted by RPG shelling al-Qaem hospital, and it was not possible to take the wounded to other areas for medical treatment because the city is besieged. He called on the Muslim Scholars Commission to interfere urgently.
