Llagostera Vives wins Princesse Lalla Meryem Tennis GP

Spain's Nuria Llagostera Vives captured, here Sunday, the US$ 140,000 Princesse Lalla Meryem 5th Tennis Grand Prix by outlasting Jie Zheng of China.
Second-seeded Llagostera Vives, who downed at the semi-finals the title holder, Emilie Loit of France, defeated Jie Zheng in straight sets 6-4 and 6-2.
Llagostera Vives booked 95 INDESIT WTA 2005 Race points and US$ 22,000, while Jie Zheng booked 67 INDESIT WTA 2005 Race points and US$ 12,000.
In the doubles final, French Emilie Loit and Czech Barbora Strycova knocked off Spaniards Lourdes Dominguez Lino and Nuria Llagostera Vives 3-6, 7-6 (7/4) and 7-5. The competition featured 60 tennis women representing 26 countries from April 30 through May 8.
