Sheikh Keftaro prize announces winners

Islamic Studies Center in Syria announced Sunday names of the winners in the annually "Sheikh Ahmad Keftaro Prize." Head of the Center, Mahmoud Keftaro told SANA reporter that the first reward was given to the Mosque of Azhar in Egypt as a distinguished Islamic institution in the service of Islam represented by Sheikh Mohammad Sayed Tantawi.
Keftaro said that the second prize was given to Wahbe al-Zouhaili from Syria on his two books "Description of the Holy Koran" and "the Islamic Doctrine," and to Mohammad al-Habash on his book "A Study in the Intellect of Sheikh Ahmad Keftaro." He added that the winners will be honored and awarded in appreciation of their efforts during a celebration the Center will be holding soon.
