Manama, Cairo host two conferences in support of Jerusalem

The Jerusalem foundation convenes a meeting in Manama on June 18- 20 in order to discuss providing material and morale support for the citizens of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories.

The secretary general of the royal committee for Jerusalem affairs Abdullah Kanaan said in a press statement that providing financial support will be through conducting charity projects in the city and in "consolidation of the steadfastness of the Palestinians against the Zionist policy to Judaize the city."

Meantime, the foundation to revive the Islamic research and heritage in Jerusalem decided to convene an international seminar under the title "Jerusalem in Arab Archives" which will be held in Cairo on June 19- 20.

The seminar which is held under the patronage of heads of archives departments in the Arab states and the presidency of the regional and Arab branch of the International Council For Archive in order to preserve cultural and scientific heritage for the city of Jerusalem to counter the "Zionist violation of Jerusalem's history and heritage."

The foundation's rector Muhammad Ghoushe said in a statement that the seminar will include scientific, academic, archive and historical activities from various Arab, Islamic and foreign countries.
