Two American planes disappeared in Iraq

The American army said it lost contacts with two jet fighters of FA -18 Hornet type while flying in the Iraqi airspace.
The spokesman for the American army in Iraq, Nick Mintchi, said that contacts was lost with these two planes which belong to the naval force on Monday, noting that there was no sign actually for a counter attack when "contacts was lost with the plane." A statement by the American army said that the fate of the crew of the two planes is not known and search operations for them are underway.
The statement added that the two planes took off from the warship Carl Vincent and the American army gave no mention on the mission of the two planes or the place where the ship was working.
NBC said on Monday evening that it is likely the two planes collided with each other.
