Jafaari completes his government by including Sunni Arabs

The Iraqi interim Prime minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari completed the formation of his government by including representatives for the Arab Sunni who pulled out several days ago from the government under the pretext that they have low profile in it.

Jaafari was able to complete the list of his interim government which he formed on Thursday after he had concluded a political agreement to offer the Arab Sunni six ministerial bags and the post of the deputy prime minister in the new government.

Jaafari is expected to present the completed formation before the Iraqi National Assembly ( parliament ) for ratification today,Tuesday.

Iraqi parliamentarian Mashaan al-Jabouri said "we have reached an agreement with the united Iraqi coalition on the names of six ministers and a deputy premier." Jaafari announced the formation of his interim government on Thursday after weeks of political controversy. However, several key ministerial posts remained vacant.

The 6 candidates are Lt. Gen, Abd Mutlaq al-Jabouri for the post pf the deputy prime minister; Lt. gem. Ahmad al-reikan for the post of the defense minister; Mujbil al-Sheikh Issa for the post of the minister of industry and minerals; Sheikh Saad Nayef al-Mushhin for the post of the minister of state for governorates affairs, Nouri al-Rawi for the post of the minister of culture, Nabil Muhammad Salim for the post of the human rights minister and Azhar al-Sheikhli, minister for women affairs.

In addition to offering the Arab Sunni 6 ministerial bags, the finalized agreement indicated that the political program of the interim government should imply work to release security prisoners and reconsidering practices applied in the law against Baathists.
