Morocco-Turkey, Politics, 4/30/2005
Morocco and Turkey will work together to provide their nationals living in the European Union with the best life conditions, said, in Rabat Thursday, Turkish minister of State, Mehmet Aydin.
At a meeting with Moroccan Minister-Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in charge of Moroccans Living Abroad, Nouzha Chekrouni, the Turkish minister noted the importance of joint action to improve Moroccan and Turkish communities' life conditions.
He also said their communities living in the European Union face the same challenges notably integration and religious education.
On her part, Chekrouni said the two countries will work hand in hand to help their nationals exercise fully their religion and face religious extremism.
She noted that important efforts are made in this context notably training Imams and preachers and conveying to Europeans the true message and values of Islam.
The two parties also discussed means to promote bilateral economic relations notably the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the countries.
