Zarqawi claims responsibility for 10 booby trapped car explosions, 160 killed, injured in Iraq

The leader of al-Qaida organization in Mesopotamia, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi on Friday called members of the Iraqi resistance to escalate attacks against the American occupation forces which he refused any dialogue with, at a time when his group claimed responsibility for more than 10 booby trapped cars explosions which resulted on Friday in addition to several other attacks, in killing 41 Iraqis and injuring other 121, besides 4 Americans were killed and other 13 injured.

Al-Zarqawi said in a voice tape at an Islamic site on the Internet under the title "Hay Muslims be strong and strong," addressing resistance members, he said "Hay groups of martyrs attacks their vehicles and barriers .. convert their night to day and their coolness a fire." Al-Zarqawi considered that the occupation forces could not achieve their objectives because of the resistance. He added "so far two years have elapsed since the collapse of Baghdad ( on April 9th, 2003) at the hands of the "crusaders who only achieved defeat and shame.. in which the owners of the Cross have not achieved any of their objectives for the sake of which they had come.. They were intending out of the invasion of Iraq to control the nation and enabling a nation of Zion from the Nile to the Euphrates, however, and thanks to the Almighty God and the attacks of the Mujahideen they were retracted."

Meanwhile, the American army announced the killing of one of its soldiers and injuring other four on Friday in a bomb explosion targeted their vehicle near al-Hweijeh area near Tikrit. The American army added that one soldier was killed and another was injured in a booby trapped car explosion in al-Taji to the north of Baghdad. It continued that two other soldiers were killed following a car explosions which had a mortar near al-Deyara in the western al-Anbar governorate.
