Morocco to provide justice expertise to UAE
United Arab Emirates-Morocco, Judicial, 4/29/2005
Morocco is ready to put a group of judges at the disposal of the United Arab Emirates to contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation in justice-related fields, said Morocco's Justice Minister, Mohamed Bouzoubaa.
The Moroccan minister made this statement during his meeting with UAE Justice and Islamic Affairs Minister, Mohamed Ben Nkhira Dahiri, with whom he examined means to reinforce judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Morocco and the UAE aim to develop the judicial field so as to meet the requirements of the current juncture in conformity with the vision of King Mohammed VI and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said Bouzoubaa.
The two ministers also examined the possibility to hold a seminar that would gather Moroccan and Emirates officials to discuss issues related to the family code, in light of the Moroccan experience.
The Family Code, adopted by the Moroccan parliament in January 2004, enhanced equality between men and women.
