Morocco, UAE call on private sector to boost bilateral trade

Visiting King Mohammed VI of Morocco and his host President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, have called on both states' private sector to step up efforts to boosting trade and economic cooperation.
This came in a joint communique at the end of the three-day official visit to the Gulf country by King Mohammed VI.
The two leaders "gave their instructions" for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation through more contacts and exchange of visits between the two states' officials.
The two Arab leaders discussed regional and international issues in particular the situation in the Arab world, noting the "identity of views" on these issues. They underlined in this regard the "paramount revival of Arab countries' spirit of solidarity, respect of their territorial integrity and good neighborliness as well as their commitment to fraternal and constructive dialogue to settle differences."
They voiced support to the Arab initiative for peace and to international efforts aiming at restoring a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region, with a particular emphasis on the need to implement "scrupulously the provision of the Roadmap."
They welcomed the political process under way in Iraq following the general elections there and wished to see this process carried on to enable the Iraqi people preserve its sovereignty and its national and territorial integrity.
The monarch is expected in Singapore on his first official visit to the Asian country since his enthronement in July 1999.
