King Mohammed and UAE president hail Morocco-UAE excellent relations

Morocco's King Mohammed VI and president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan hailed this Tuesday the excellent longstanding relations that were launched by the late King Hassan II and Cheikh Zayed.

The two heads of State, who held a private meeting, expressed "satisfaction at the sincerity, brotherhood and mutual help marking bilateral ties and expressed resolve to bring bilateral cooperation to a level matching the brotherhood bonds existing between the two countries and the two peoples."

They also hailed the convergence of viewpoints on the whole set of Arab, regional and international issues debated during the meeting.

They also stressed the need to reach a fair, peaceful and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue, in a way that restores to the Palestinian people their legitimate rights, particularly their right to establish a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as a capital.

The UAE president also praised the tireless efforts made by King Mohammed VI as chairman of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) committee for the triumph of the Palestinian cause and the protection of the city.

King Mohammed VI who arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday on an official visit held with the UAE head of State on the same day a meeting that was attended by delegations of the two countries.

The sovereign also attended a lunch hosted in his honor by Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and visited the mausoleum where the late UAE president is buried.
