Khatami warns against conspiracies targeting Syria and Lebanon

President Mohammad Khatami of Iran on Sunday called on the Arab and Islamic countries to beware of the conspiracies hatched against Syria, Lebanon and countries of the region.
President Khatami, during meetings on the sidelines of an international conference on Islam unity in Tehran, expressed appreciation of the countries which support the distinguished Syrian-Lebanese relations and to those who call for preserving the Lebanese resistance.The Iranian President called on the Lebanese people to preserve unity and avoid any internal sedition, adding that the upcoming elections constitute a legitimate right for every citizen.
