Aktham Naisseh's trial postponed

Syrian Supreme State Security Court on Monday held a session for hearing Lawyers of the accused Aktham Naisseh in their defense.
A number of Arab Lawyers and representatives of a number of foreign embassies in Damascus attended the session. The session of the trial was adjourned until 26 June 2005 for issuing the verdict.
Naisseh was detained in April 2004 and was held for five months before he was released under a financial guarantee. Naisseh, who was accused of carrying out anti-socialism activities, faces imprisonment terms of 3 years to life imprisonment if convected.
