Continued killings in Iraq

Four persons were killed and a fifth was injured in a bomb explosion as they were implanting it on Sunday morning in al-Lteifieh and al-Hasweh area to the south of Baghdad.

In Baghdad, a source at the Iraq ministry of the interior said that one person was killed and other three injured in a fire exchange and a bomb explosion in al-Doura to the south of Baghdad..

In Baqouba to the north east of Baghdad, a source in the police said that the rapid deployment forces arrested on Sunday one of the wanted during the operation clashes with unidentified gunmen who tried to counter them. Two gunmen and one civilian were injured as a result.

In another field development, two Iraqis were killed in a booby trapped car explosion that targeted an American military procession to the south of Baghdad.

However, a source in the Iraqi police said on Sunday that three Iraqis ( one truck driver and two contractors ) were killed and other four Iraqi soldiers were injured on Saturday evening in two separate attacks on Beiji al-Sharqat to the north of Baghdad.
