Eight Iraqis killed in clashes

Acts of violence continued in Iraq with the repeated failures to form an Iraqi government, and under the absence of the state's control on security conditions in Iraq.
The violence which has been spreading in the country claimed the lives of 8 Iraqis in a booby traped car explosion before a mosque for the Shiite to the south east of Baghdad, according to news reports. A source at the Iraqi ministry of the interior said that the explosion which target al-Sabeih mosque, known as Huseineyat al-Mahdi during the performance of Friday prayers resulted also in injuring other 25.
The source quoted witnesses that the suicide attack which was carried out by BMW car parked near the mosque, inflected damages in the mosque and the adjoining houses and several cars which were stationed there.
Meantime, member of the Muslim Scholars Commission, Abdul Momen Abdul Jabbar, was assassinated. In a statement, the commission said that Sheikh Abdul Momen, the brother of Sheikh Abdul Sattar Abdul Jabbar member of the Shoura council in the Muslim Scholars Commission, has been jailed by the American forces since more than 6 months, was killed in al-Shaab city to the north of Baghdad on Thursday.
The statement accused Iraqi political parties taking part in the government of carrying out a religious cleansing campaign in certain areas of Iraq.
Some 19 bodies were also found for members of the Iraqi national guards in Beiji to the north of Baghdad who were kidnapped by gunmen several days ago.
The hand of violence also targeted the Iraqi economy by attacking the oil pipeline which feeds an electricity station in Beji town to the north of the country. The line extends from the Karkouk center for oil to Beji where the largest oil refinery in Iraq is. The line is not used for exports but is one of the main local lines.
