First political appearance for Saad Hariri

Following the decision of Rafic Hariri that his son Saad Eddine assume national and political issues to continue his father's march, Saad Eddine Hariri visited yesterday, in his first political appearance, the French President Jacque Chirac at the Elysee Presidential Palace and discussed with him for one and a quarter hours, developments in Lebanon and the region.

In a statement to the press, Hariri stressed continued work to enhance national unity. A process which has been consolidated in the people's rallying at the tomb of the late Hariri. He indicated he will make his decision over entering the election to the parliament in light of the law to be pursued concerning it.
