Lebanese officials prepare for cabinet declaration

A Committee for formulating the ministerial declaration of the Lebanese new government on Thursday concluded a meeting headed by Lebanese Premier Najib Miqati.
Lebanon TV said that "the Lebanese government statement will include firm stances regarding Syrian-Lebanese relations, Middle East Peace Process, adhering to resistance till liberating the occupied Shebaa Farms, and the issue of Lebanese parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, Hizbullah Secretary General Sheikh Hasan Nasrullah conferred with former Speaker of Lebanese Parliament Hussein al-Husseini on the latest developments in the region after the formation of the new government.
Following the meeting, Husseini called on the new government to meet its commitment in the Taif Accord and approve the electoral law which boosts Lebanese unity.
