19 Iraqi national guards killed

Some 19 members of the Iraqi national guards were killed by the bullets of gunmen after they were held as hostages in a football stadium in Haditha to the north west of Baghdad.
This came hours after three explosions in a booby trapped car in Baghdad that resulted in killing and injuring many. Two civilians were killed and other five injured in an attack in a booby trapped car that targeted an American military vehicle in al-Amereyah quarters to the west of Baghdad.
Several persons were killed or injured in two booby trapped car explosions in al-Doura quarters to the south of Baghdad. The first was inside a police center garage, while the second targeted a police vehicle in Bilat al-Shuhadaa area.
Four Iraqi soldiers and one Turkish truck drivers were killed and other five injured in various attacks that took place to the north of Iraq on Tuesday evening and Wednesday, according to sources in the Iraqi police and army.
Earlier, the American army announced the killing of two of its soldiers and injuring four in a bomb explosion on Tuesday on Baghdad's airport highway to the west of Baghdad. In a statement on the internet, "The Islamic army in Iraq group" claimed responsibility for the attack.
