Over 8 tons of Hashish seized in Morocco

Authorities at the port of Casablanca (100 Km from Rabat) seized on Saturday 8.48 tons of Hashish estimated at over MAD 80 million (USD 9.41 million). The drug was hidden in 22.278 parcels in little marble plaques.
The cargo, bound for Spain, was registered in the name of Kenitra-based "PRONATU Maroc" company whose Spanish owner is currently on the run, according to an official at the customs service in Casablanca.
On April 7, customs at Casablanca port seized 19.31 tons of hashish, valued at MAD 160 million (USD 18.8 million) in a truck with a Portuguese licence plaque.
